A research proposal detailing the objectives, hypotheses to be tested, methods, anticipated results, and alternative approaches is required.

The grant is for 18 months, during which time the recipient will be expected to have completed the proposed research and submitted a report detailing how the funds were used. It is expected that results of the research will be submitted for presentation at an academic conference and/or submitted for publication in a peer-reviewed journal within 6 months of project completion.

The funds for this award will be disbursed in 2 installments of $2500 each. The first installment will be at the beginning of the project. The second installment will be upon receipt of an interim progress report, expected within 6-12 months of the award date.
