Victoria is 14 years old and loves the ocean. She is committed to marine conservation and stewardship of our blue planet, acting as an Ambassador for the Marine Conservation Network and a NOAA Ocean Guardian Youth Ambassador. She is also a Water Challenge Ambassador with EarthEcho, a network of young people passionate about protecting local waterways. As a Young Marine Biologist at the Marine Biological Association in the UK, she spoke at the 2021 Summit, talking about the “Hidden Ocean.” She is a member of the US Naval Sea Cadet Corps, where she holds the rank of Petty Officer 3rd class. Her goal is to promote an understanding of the ocean’s influence on us and our influence on the ocean, strengthening youth involvement in diving.This grant is an exceptional opportunity that will allow her to attain her Advanced Dive Certification and some additional dive gear.
