Growing up around water in Hong Kong, Vicky was fascinated by life underwater from a young age. Since getting scuba certified six years ago, she has been determined to save our threatened oceans, and now studies Environmental Biology and Marine Conservation as a junior at University of California Berkeley. She also works as a divemaster at a marine conservation non-profit, mentoring high school students and teaching divers about her favorite elasmobranchs. She is excited to have the opportunity to study manta rays as a research assistant with the Marine Megafauna Foundation this summer. Vicky hopes to pursue a career involving marine research, conservation, and education.
