Stefanie is a student in the Masters in Science in Kinesiology program with a focus on exercise and work physiology at the Memorial University of Newfoundland. Her research interests are in extreme environments, physiology, and human performance, particularly in technical divers. Her passion for this was inspired by experiences as a research associate at Divers Alert Network (DAN) and the Duke Center for Hyperbaric Medicine and Environmental Physiology and as a research intern at DAN and at the Navy Experimental Diving Unit. Stefanie will utilize technical diving training to develop a more intimate understanding that can be applied to related research.
