Sithara leads the Earthlanka Policy and Advocacy Team in Sri Lanka. The team is conducting research at one of the top environmental institutes in Sri Lanka, addressing real-world environmental challenges and contributing to conservation efforts. The team has diverse academic backgrounds--environmental management, biotechnology,
and sociology. They aim to use the grant to help further their research on coral reef ecology, focusing on identifying key factors contributing to coral resilience in the face of climate change. Through their work, she hopes to inspire others to join the effort in protecting our precious marine environments for future generations.
