Shachini is leading a research team focused on aquaculture. They recently completed their B.Sc. (Hons) in Coastal and Marine Resources Management from Ocean University of Sri Lanka. Their academic journey has provided them with an extensive understanding of marine resources, covering biology, fisheries, marine ecology, oceanography, and marine archaeology. As the Earthlanka Aquaculture Team, their diverse roles and collective expertise are dedicated to advancing the field of aquaculture and ensuring sustainable management and preservation of our valuable marine ecosystems.  With this grant, they aim to make a lasting impact on marine conservation and inspire others to join in preserving the biodiversity of the underwater world.
