Sara is an M.S. candidate at San Diego State University studying marine ecology. Before attending graduate school, Sara earned a B.S. in Aquatic Biology at University of California Santa Barbara where she was an avid AAUS scientific diver. She also worked as a divemaster in St. Croix, U.S. Virgin Islands. Sara’s current master’s research focuses on how native California fish species are responding to an algal invasion, particularly at juvenile life stages. After graduate school, she plans to continue to work as a research diver on conservation-based research projects.
