I am Salomé Izurieta from Quito. Ecuador. I earned a B.S. in Biology with Marine Ecology concentration. I am going to study Marine Resources Management at Instituto Politécnico Nacional in Mexico. I authored scientific articles about Galapagos sea lions (GSL). I have volunteered in different NGOs, environmental education, and research projects(Ecuador and USA). In the Galapagos National Park, I undertook biological monitoring of endangered species and co-coordinated field works. Since I was a child, I always dreamed of becoming a Marine Biologist and scientist. That is what I will do in my Master’s degree and later in life.
