Raquel will receive her B.S. in Biology with a concentration in Environmental Science in April 2024. Due to her experience with two research projects at her university, Raquel aspires to continue laboratory research and specialize in marine animals. She has accomplished 200+ hours of volunteering, educating herself about ocean conservation and marine animals. Scuba diving is crucial to her career goals, and she soon decided to be PADI Open Water Certified. With this grant, she plans to be certified and move on to an Advanced Open-water Diver course. Raquel’s end goal is to be a scientific diver studying corals.
