Rachel Grey is a Master’s student in Marine Biology at the College of Charleston in South Carolina. She is an AAUS-certified Scientific Diver and a PADI Divemaster and received her Bachelor’s degree in Biology from the University of California San Diego. Her thesis is focused on the life history of lionfish across the Western Atlantic and Caribbean. She is studying age/growth and spawning frequency, as well as determining the genetic composition of the two invasive lionfish species in this region. Prior to graduate school, Rachel spent 3 summers working for Operation Wallacea as an educator and field site manager in Honduras. In the future she hopes to continue to work on education and conservation projects in developing countries.
