Being a wildlife enthusiast, Prachi pursued her post-graduate degree in marine science in India. After completion of her studies, she started a career as a researcher at the CSIRNational Institute of Oceanography. With a keen interest in marine life, she conducted sea turtle conservation in her coastal state, Maharashtra. She is currently working on dugong conservation at the Wildlife Institute of India, and plans to start her Ph.D. on seagrass-associated fauna. Her current research interests include understanding the ecology of endangered species, diversity assessment of marine life, and connecting ecosystem benefits with livelihood.
