Pamela has over 25 years of experience in the education profession. She currently is an Assistant Professor at Tennessee State University. Dr. Chapman shares her love of the ocean with all the students she encounters. As owner of Global Educational Opportunities, she uses virtual reality to bring the ocean to students in under-resourced schools. Serving on the Executive Board of the National Association of Black Scuba Divers, Dr.Chapman seeks to create a pipeline for youth from marginalized communities interested in scuba diving and will use this grant to advance her diving skills.
