Nicole is currently a junior at Maine Maritime Academy studying marine biology with a minor in environmental sustainability. She quickly gained a passion for the ocean at a young age, which has led her to where she is now, working towards her dream career as a marine biologist. She received her PADI Open Water Certification in 2022, and this summer she will be working towards her Advanced Certification. Nicole will be assisting with research this summer in Anacortes, Washington, using her scuba skills to study various octopus species and one echinoderm species.
