Montana graduated from the University of California, Santa Barbara, with a degree in Environmental Studies with an outside concentration in Marine Ecosystems. She grew up near the California coast, and her time studying in Santa Barbara solidified her connection with the marine environment. Montana is currently working as a Scientific Aide for a marine project in Southern California and is hoping to obtain her open-water certification before she begins her graduate education studying subtidal marine ecology.
