Mark joined the Royal Marines at age 17 and was awarded the prestigious Green Beret. Upon being medically discharged, he pursued a dive training program in Thailand. He has since taught diving in the Cayman Islands, the Bahamas and Thailand. Mark used his WDHOF grant to become certified to teach disabled veterans and civilians how to dive, with the goal of bringing the joy of diving to those who may wrongly feel that their chance for adventure is over after sustaining a disability.
