Mahi Mankeshwar is conducting her Master’s thesis research on a special group of marine invertebrates, the bryozoans. She has constructed a database for the bryozoan diversity of Ratnagiri coastline of Maharashtra, and she has undertaken ecological surveys to observe their associations with other invertebrates. She is also studying the migratory activity of the intertidal soldier crab. Apart from her work on bryozoans and crabs, she is interested to learn about cetaceans in Indian waters, especially from the Andaman and Nicobar archipelago.
