Madeline McAllister

Madeline McAllister is an archaeologist with a focus on underwater 3D recording and digital modeling of shipwreck sites in Western Australia. She started diving in 2005, the same year she completed a weekend course on Maritime Archaeology, and considered herself ‘hooked’. She completed a Bachelor’s and Master’s of Maritime Archaeology at Flinders University. Currently, Madeline is a Ph.D. candidate at the University of Western Australia where she is recording and creating 3D digital reconstructions of shipwrecks off the Western Australian coast. She plans to revisit Batavia, located in the remote Abrolhos Island group to complete photographic recording.
