Lys is a Ph.D. student at the University of Miami Rosenstiel School of Marine, Atmospheric and Earth Science. Her research focuses on immune responses of corals to Stony Coral Tissue Loss Disease (SCTLD). Her dissertation will focus on one main question: when corals get sick, how are they battling? Her goal is to contribute to a better understanding of this disease.
