Lucia is a Freshman at UC Berkeley working to earn her degree in Microbial Biology. A local of the San Francisco Bay Area, Lucia has worked in resource management, land stewardship, and climate justice advocacy for over seven years. She has worked on several projects aimed at maintaining the ecosystems in the Bay Area and educating others in order to promote a sustainable relationship between communities and the environment. Lucia has published several articles on climate justice and she is passionate about science and the environment. In addition to her advocacy, she has been involved in projects to restore wetlands native to San Francisco and promote health in a variety of California environments. She hopes to use her passion for science and activism to foster relationships between people and nature and create a sustainable future.
