Initially Divemaster-trained in the warm waters off Mozambique, Lindy found returning home to the frigid waters of the Pacific Northwest to be challenging, exhausting, terrifying, and absolutely awe-inspiring. After graduating from Oregon State University, with a B.S. in Marine Biology, Lindy became the first employee of OSU’s scientific diving program. That program helped guide her interest in diving for the purpose of dive safety. Lindy currently works for the Swinomish Indian Tribal Community helping to manage the tribe’s dive fisheries. She plans to continue pursuing knowledge and skills that promote safe diving and prepare individuals for emergency situations.
