Kylie is a senior at the University of Florida, graduating with a B.S. in Environmental Science and a B.S. in Marine Sciences. She is currently working in the Coastal Ecosystems and Watersheds Lab, doing an independent research project on oyster settlement dynamics. Through this, she’s found a love for coastal ecology and understanding how human activity impacts these ecosystems, and especially the biogeochemistry and faunal relationships within them. By getting her basic diving certification, she hopes to expand her interest and experience in biogeochemistry and ecology to the world’s benthic communities, researching our impacts on a
vulnerable, important community.
