Kelly is a second year Biology major at the University of California, Los Angeles. She began her diving career at the age of 11 and became a divemaster eight years later. She is currently a National Registered EMT and has earned Level 1 Search and Rescue diving certifications. In summer 2014, she researched the use of diatoms in forensics with a resulting publication in Diver Medic & Aquatic Safety and presentation to Illinois law enforcement during a homicide program. Kelly assisted with a bathtub death investigation study with a resulting abstract publication and paper presentation at the American Academy of Forensic Sciences 2015 conference. After receiving her B.S. in Biology, she plans on pursuing a career that allows her to utilize both skill sets and combine her two passions.
