Katherine is a senior at Northwestern University, studying Earth and Planetary Sciences. Through working with one of her professors in the field of hydrology in the Yucatan Peninsula, she became exposed to cave divers, and saw what scientific divers are able to accomplish and discover. This experience sparked her interest in learning to dive in open water and eventually through caves in order to continue exploring certain areas in the field of hydrology.
