Kate’s enthusiasm for science is driven by her curiosity about the world, both above and below the ocean. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Sciences, a Master’s degree in Earth and Climate Sciences, and leads marine education trips on a 60’ wooden sailboat. She’s a science communicator, running a nature podcast and drawing science cartoons under the title Go Forth and Science. This fellowship will grant her the opportunity to research coral reefs in person and communicate their struggles and successes to both stakeholders and new audiences.
