Jo is a PhD candidate at Charles Sturt University, Australia. She also holds a Master of Applied Science from Charles Sturt University and a Bachelor of Applied Science (Natural Resources) from the University of Canberra, Australia. Jo’s PhD research focuses on the motivations, attitudes and behavior of wreck divers and its application to cultural heritage, recreation and tourism management. Jo has been diving for over 30 years and has worked in the dive industry. She is an avid wreck diver who is passionate about wrecks, and aims through her research to achieve better opportunities and experiences for wreck divers, while still protecting their cultural heritage values.
