Jill earned her B.S. in Coastal Studies from the University of Connecticut in 2006 and worked in fisheries habitat restoration for 10 years for the state of Massachusetts. She is currently pursuing her M.S. in Geo-Information Science from Salem State University with a focus on remote sensing applications in the marine environment. Drone imagery will be ground-truthed with data from dive and underwater video surveys. Jill’s thesis will inform best practices in novel marine habitat mapping techniques.
