Susan L. Williams Memorial Fellowship in Coral Rehabilitation, sponsored by family and friends of WDHOF Member Susan L. Williams

Janna Randle

Janna is from a landlocked town in the U.K. She became intrigued by coral reefs following her first ocean dive in the Red Sea at thirteen. She returned to the Red Sea in 2016 to complete an internship on the metabolism of reef organisms, and earned an MSc in Marine Science, at KAUST (King Abdullah University of Science & Technology), Saudi Arabia. Currently, she is interning for the Coral Reef Restoration & Adaptation Program, AIMS (Australian Institute of Marine Science). The fellowship will allow her to work with the Coral Assist Lab, Palau. The research aims to determine the feasibility of up-scaling coral reef restoration to a global scale. This will support her long-term career goal in coral reef conservation and management.
