Jamie is a Ph.D. student in Biology at Stanford University, and is currently an NSERC PGS-D fellow and an AAUS certified diver. Her Ph.D. research evaluates how trophic interactions on coral reefs, ranging from large sharks down to small fishes, influence the benthic community. To do this, she is working in both the Chagos Archipelago (high fish and shark biomass) and the Maldives Archipelago (low fish and shark biomass) utilizing scuba monitoring surveys and in-situ experiments. She aims to continue conducting research after the completion of her Ph.D., addressing a variety of community ecology questions on marine ecosystems.
