Jackie is currently a junior at Eckerd College pursuing her Bachelor’s in Environmental Studies and minoring in Art and Biology. Through her diving experience in the British Virgin Islands and Australia’s Great Barrier Reef, she discovered her passion for marine ecosystems and environmental conservation. In 2016, she interned at the Coral Restoration Foundation where she aided in restoring portions of the Florida Keys coral reef system and participated in public education on coral reefs and ocean conservation. In early 2017, she studied biology in the tropical marine environment of Roatán, Honduras. The WDHOF scholarship will help her continue her efforts in marine conservation.
