Ioannis has completed his integrated Master’s degree in Ichthyology & Aquatic Environments from the University of Thessaly in 2019 and a Master’s degree in Marine Biology from the University of Algarve in 2022. His first dive was due to his academic curiosity in 2017, but soon after, he was captivated by this underwater experience. In the following years, he strived to extend his knowledge and skills by reaching the SSI Divemaster & GUE Scientific Diver level, while also participating in several diving programs (ScienceDiverEU, DANEurope Internship). This training grant will enrich his diving medicine education, thus improving the safety of himself and his diving buddies, while also opening the door to the Diving Safety Officer level.
