Haley is a PADI Master Scuba Diver Trainer and a marine scientist studying the environmental patterns which influence coral reef health and communicating important findings to community members. Haley believes that divers can be some of the most important advocates for conservation, as they witness changes in this ecosystem firsthand. Through this grant, Haley aims to expand her repertoire of Project AWARE specialty instructor certifications, as well as taking steps toward her aspiration to become an AAUS Dive Safety Officer. It is her hope that through education, hard work, and advocacy, divers worldwide can preserve the planet’s most valuable biological resource.
