Hailey is currently a Master’s of Marine Science student at King Abdullah University of Science and Technology in Saudi Arabia, where she studies marine invasive species. Since becoming certified, nearly every dive she has done has been for scientific research, collecting biological data in temperate and tropical environments. She hopes to bridge the gap between recreational diving and scientific research by sparking ocean curiosity in students and encouraging divers of all levels to lead citizen science projects. Hailey plans to use this grant to pursue Divemaster training, which will support her in reaching a wider audience through underwater education and dive leadership.
