Fawn Liebengood is a marine conservation activist born in Portland, Oregon. She moved to Honolulu, Hawaii, to continue a career in psychology, but after seeing marine debris’ impact in Hawaii, she chose to pursue a career in marine debris removal and prevention. Fawn earned her MBA in Nonprofit Management, Entrepreneurship Certificate, and an award for Outstanding Community Service. She co-founded the environmental nonprofit organization, 808 Cleanups. She was recently accepted into the Marine Biodiversity & Conservation program at Scripps Institution of Oceanography where she will be studying all aspects of marine plastic pollution.
