Fatema has never been sure of her goals in life and was unaware of the procedures involved in doing anything beyond school. However, she did end up falling in love with the marine environment after watching a movie about seahorses, which inspired her, and she pursued her career as marine biologist. Although the video broadened her interest in marine life, her first intertidal walk ensured that she would never look back. She has always been motivated to learn more about and comprehend these animals by witnessing them flourish in their natural habitat and just being themselves. Ever since, she has been going on walks between the tides and showing others what she observes. With the help of this funding, she aims to learn more about such marine organisms submerged in water and thriving in the big blue.
