Emily Wallingford is a senior Marine Science student at the University of Hawaii at Hilo (UHH). After becoming an AAUS science diver in 2014, she participated in many ecological survey projects with UHH and assisted in underwater community assessments with NOAA in North Carolina. During a semester at the University of Stirling in Scotland in 2015, she developed a strong interest in cold-water diving. She plans to return to the UK and pursue a career in marine biology and conservation. Becoming a DMT will allow her to be a reliable and capable member of any dive team and volunteer at hyperbaric chambers.
