Elizabeth Ratliff was awarded the Lifeguard Systems (LGS) Scholarship for the second year in a row. Ratliff received her scuba certification at age 12, worked at her local dive shop during high school, became an EMT at age 18, a volunteer firefighter at age 19 and graduated from Stephen’s College at age 22 with a B.S. in Biology. She is a qualified scuba diving instructor and is the first female diver on the Missouri State Patrol Dive Team. Due to the support of LGS and WDHOF, Ratliff received a full year-long course specifically designed to enhance her skills as an Emergency Medical Technician and member of the Missouri State Patrol Dive Team, where she continues to work.
