Desislava is a Criminal Justice M.A. Graduate from Swansea University, Wales, with a passion for marine conservation. Through her undergraduate and postgraduate research, her goal has been to tackle environmental harm to aquatic life following environmental catastrophes. Her research investigates the damaging practices of global corporations with ecologically unequal exchange and its attendant structural violence. She is the recipient of the Swansea Council Research Grant and currently works with the Innovate Trust Charity in educating people with learning disabilities about marine conservation and wildlife crime.
