Danielle is pursuing a Master’s degree in Biology from Harbor Branch Oceanographic Institute at Florida Atlantic University, specializing in coral reef health and molecular ecology. Her research focuses on utilizing advanced molecular tools to investigate impacts of the human-altered watershed system in central Florida on the northernmost Caribbean coral reef. Through outreach and collaboration with regional and state agencies, she hopes to inform more successful, science-based, management decisions impacting these vital coral reef ecosystems. Danielle hopes to pursue a career at the intersection of marine science research and its translation into successful policy.
