Crystal is a PhD student at Hopkins Marine Station of Stanford University. She is interested in how stressors associated with climate change will impact near-shore marine communities. In particular, she focuses on how the interaction between grazers and macroalgae will be impacted under future scenarios by using a combination of mesocosm and field manipulation experiments. In the future, she plans to continue working on conservation-based research and continue her involvement in education and outreach programs focused on exposing young students to marine science and conservation.
