Cassidy is a 3rd year Ph.D. student in the Department of Biology and Marine Program at Boston University. After learning to dive in New England, she quickly fell in love with diving and researching coral reefs. Virtually all of Cassidy’s diving is now related to her dissertation research, which is focused on direct measurements of fish population connectivity in the Mesoamerican Barrier Reef System. Over the past few years, Cassidy has logged over 300 research dives all around Belize and is currently finishing her Dive master certification. Ultimately, she plans to pursue a research career in metapopulation biology and marine conservation.
