Uakoko (Autumn) is from Waimea, Hawai’i. She is working towards a B.S. degree in Marine Science and a B.A. degree in Hawaiian Studies at the University of Hawai’i at Hilo. She is currently a certified scientific diver, and she plans to further her scuba training through UHH’s Quantitative Underwater Ecological Surveying Techniques (QUEST) Program. After UHH, she plans to return and work with her community in Waipi’o. Mahalo nui to the WDHOF grant program for financially supporting her goals.
