Aurelia is a marine biologist and scientific diver. Combining these two passions, she participated in various scientific expeditions to isolated places such as the fjords of Chilean Patagonia. Aurelia has spent the last year living at Rothera Research Station, Antarctica, working as Marine Biologist for the British Antarctic Survey. Diving in Antarctic waters year round has highlighted to her the importance of emergency plans and appropriate training. This grant will help her achieve her goal of delivering safe diving operations in remote parts of the world.
