April MacIntyre decided to not stress about her final college semester, and instead got scuba certified. She graduated from George Washington University in 2014 with a B.A. in Anthropology and a minor in Biology, and she is currently working on a Ph.D. in Microbiology. April attends the University of Wisconsin-Madison and frequently dives locally and in chilly Lake Michigan. She is passionate about aquatic life (microbes included), shipwrecks, and her dog. April plans to use her grant towards her Divemaster certification so she can lead camping dive trips to the Great Lakes and continue to explore the wrecks.
