Anna is a high school senior from Vancouver, BC, passionate about youth leadership within ocean conservation. She is an alumna of Ocean Wise’s YouthToSea program where she has spent two years organizing conservation-based initiatives. As part of her work, Anna co-founded a campaign advocating for stronger Marine Protected Area policy and organized a climate festival for local small businesses and organizations. Anna aims to use her grant to support youth-led environmentalism within her community, continue her MPA advocacy, and work in kelp reforestation. In the future, she plans to study computational biology and how technology can advance conservation efforts.
