Allison is a first-year Ph.D. student in the Coral Reef Health and Ecology Laboratory at FAU’s Harbor Branch Oceanographic Institute. Allie will be utilizing this grant to receive Mixed-Gas CCR training to increase her skills on the O2ptima rebreather. This advanced dive training will make Allie a crucial participant on the Voss Lab’s technical dive team for mesophotic reef research. She is looking forward to the opportunities that will emerge for her through this training as well as exploring these mesophotic coral reef ecosystems.
