Alicia works closely with men and women from coastal communities, including fishers, tourism service providers, and marine wildlife monitors, who are actively seeking more sustainable ways to interact with their environment. As part of her role, she provides ongoing support and assistance to ensure the sustainable performance of community social processes. With the grant, Alicia will have the opportunity to immerse herself more deeply in their daily activities, gaining firsthand experience and refining her skills in addressing marine-related issues. Guided by her background in environmental science, Alicia’s approach to marine conservation and diving is fueled by her profound passion for the sea and coastal communities.
