Alex graduated with a BFA in graphic design from Pratt University. She works as a freelance writer and editor and publishes a travel and diving blog at www.alexinwanderland.com. Alex is a PADI-certified rescue diver and used her WDHOF grant to gain her Divemaster certification. Alex believes that the passion for ocean conservation can be spread through recreational dive education, and she hopes to be a part of that chain. “I’m a New York native who left my home to explore the world slowly and thoroughly. I’m just a little obsessed with photography, scuba diving, and reading guidebooks to countries I have no immediate plans to visit. I’ve since celebrated my one-year, two-year, and three-year travelversaries and with no end date in sight, I still feel like I’m on the ride of my life. There’s no end date, no itinerary, and no real backup plan. Just adventure, adrenaline, and a lifetime of globe-trotting daydreams to fulfill.”
