Master Chief Langstaff enlisted in the U.S. Navy when women were just starting to explore new fields. She was the first enlisted woman to complete Diving/EOD training in 1982, parlaying that into a 21-year career of firsts. She completed 350 EOD dives, mentored many sailors, and was a role model for the few following women. In retirement, she cofounded a Disabled Veteran, Women-Owned Small Business specializing in Human Resources, sole sourcing over 20 Federal agencies. She serves her community as a mentor and educator. She is still “one of” the EOD community as an EOD Master Chief and Master EOD Technician.
