Brigit Grimm

Class of:  2000

Brigit has been playing underwater hockey since 1984. She’s been a member and captain of all USA Women’s Teams participating in World Championships around the world from 1986 until present (except 1994, when she was pregnant with her second son). Brigit is a leader in developing women’s hockey in the USA by organizing and conducting skills clinics and tournaments. She’s been Athlete of the Year in underwater swimming from US Olympic Committee, (1989) and Athlete of the Year from USOA (1990). In the past 5 years, Brigit has added coaching the US Women’s National Team to her set of skills, as assistant coach for the Americas Cup in Colombia in 2010, head coach for the Americas Cup in Minnesota in 2012, and head coach for the World Championships in Hungary in 2013. She’s currently coaching the team for the 2016 World Championship in South Africa. She’s also been busy designing and running the very successful Women’s Tournament in the USA and this year will head up the 7th annual tournament.
